The lights visible in the plain are, from left to right, the cities of Neuchâtel (far left), Thun, Bern (left of the comet), Interlaken (foreground) and Soleure. The black line at the horizon, in the center and in the right side of the picture, is the Jura mountains, at 120 km distance.
On the picture, the tail of the comet is visible over 12°, i.e. 69 million kilometers !
